BTC Projection Toward FIRE
The chart shows how your total wealth could develop over time. Bitcoin is projected with the selected BTC CAGR assumptions, while your other invested assets grow with the separate return assumption. In FIRE focus mode, the y-axis is limited around your FIRE target, making it easier to see when a scenario would reach financial independence.

How does the BTC FIRE calculator work?
The calculator first estimates your personal FIRE number. It does this by dividing your desired annual expenses by your chosen withdrawal rate.
Then your Bitcoin holdings are multiplied by different BTC prices. This shows in which scenarios your Bitcoin wealth, together with other invested assets, could be enough for FIRE.
The calculator also shows how much BTC you would theoretically need at a specific Bitcoin price to reach your FIRE target.
Example Calculation
The higher the assumed Bitcoin price, the less BTC would theoretically be needed to reach the FIRE target.
Frequently Asked Questions About BTC FIRE
What does BTC FIRE mean?
BTC FIRE means calculating financial independence based on Bitcoin wealth. The calculator checks whether your BTC holdings could be enough under certain price scenarios.
Why does the calculator use multiple BTC prices?
The future Bitcoin price is uncertain. Different price scenarios help compare optimistic and more conservative assumptions.
Can you use a classic withdrawal rate with Bitcoin?
Only very carefully. Bitcoin is much more volatile than broadly diversified investments. A classic withdrawal rate such as 4% comes with much higher uncertainty when applied to Bitcoin.
Is this BTC FIRE calculator financial advice?
No. This calculator is for educational and informational purposes only and does not replace personal financial advice, investment advice, tax advice or individual financial planning.
How is the BTC amount needed for FIRE calculated?
The calculator first estimates your required FIRE portfolio from annual expenses and the withdrawal rate. Then it calculates how much Bitcoin would be needed at a given BTC price to reach that portfolio value.
Why is BTC FIRE riskier than classic FIRE?
Bitcoin is much more volatile than broadly diversified asset classes. Withdrawals during weak market phases can be risky, and the results depend heavily on the assumed future BTC price.
